Oppose a Carbon Tax and an ‘All Electric’ Plan

I join Vermont Republicans in opposing a Carbon Tax in any form, including the ‘Clean Heat Standard’. Such a tax will severely impact low and middle-income Vermonters and have no measurable impact on climate. We must have a mix of energy sources to support our economy successfully and effectively for the future.

Support Public Safety; Oppose New Gun Laws

We support the work of law enforcement and other first responders who help keep communities safe.   Adding new gun laws accomplishes nothing. The state must strongly enforce the laws we already have with responsive prosecutors and judges to deter illegal firearm possession with stronger convictions and sentencing.

Oppose Expansion of the Sales Tax

Vermont Republicans know this is the open door to unending tax burdens to fund ineffective and wasteful programs. New taxes on services and food will place a significant burden on Vermonters and Vermont businesses in these current inflationary times.
